Challenge:
The Core's facility, originally Allen County High School built in 1941, has been a hub for education and community gatherings for decades. Transitioning from a YMCA to an independent nonprofit in 2014, The Core had a new website from that transition but it was no longer serving them. The Core needed a digital presence that promoted all the events and amenities that they had and served their mission. The challenge was to create a website and visual content that encapsulated this legacy and promoted the many events that support their ongoing mission.​

Our Approach:

• Website Redesign: We developed a user-friendly website that tells The Core's story, highlights its programs, and facilitates community engagement. The design incorporates photography of people utilizing the Core's facilities highlighting the strong sense of community here.​
• Brand Photography: Our photography sessions aimed to capture the essence of daily life at The Core—children learning, seniors participating in fitness classes, families bonding, and volunteers in action. These images serve as a visual narrative of the center's impact on individual lives and the community.​

Impact:
The revamped website and authentic imagery have revitalized The Core's online presence, making it a more effective tool for communication, fundraising, and community building. By honoring its significance and showcasing its current programs, The Core continues to be a beacon for Scottsville's residents, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose.​
